Project Overview
The works at Stubbington Study Centre, Hampshire took place on behalf of Hampshire County Council and The Stubbington Study Centre. Stubbington Study Centre is a children’s service facility situated on Hampshire’s South Coast. It hosts a variety of habitats for wildlife, play areas and learning facilities. The project involved the construction of a new timber Viking /Anglo-Saxon Style Longhouse, including the following:
- Doulas Fir Timber Structure
- Waney Edge Oak Cladded External Walls
- Cedar Shingle Roof
- Landscaping & Drainage
The project was managed on site by Alan Skeens and project managed by Martyn Hodges over approximately 37 weeks. Commencing in September 2019 and achieving completion June 2020. The Architectural design works were created in liaison with Phil Rose Architectural and Hampshire County Council. All carpentry, landscaping and groundwork’s were completed in house by member’s of the DM Habens Team, with excellent work from our trusted Sub-Contractors. On this project the sub contractors used were:
