Berrywood Primary School, Southampton

Project Overview

The Extension & Internal Alterations works are now complete onsite at Berrywood Primary School, Southampton, working with Studio Four Architects Ltd , Mcphersons and TNG Consulting Engineers Ltd

The extension project included creating new creative teaching spaces such as: –

• A Training Kitchen – featuring a teacher demonstration workbench & separate cooking area
• An Art Studio
• A Drama Studio with a stage for performance rehearsals
• A Refurbished music rehearsal studio
• A new recording studio with green-screen where the pupils will be able to record their own music and videos.

Plus a new staff room with break and catering facilities, quiet room, plus mechanical and electrical installations, decorations and finishes, roofing works and adjustment of the existing main building to accommodate the new extension.

The education project was managed by Contracts Manager Sean Morge and site manager Sam Cunningham. DM Habens acted as principal contractor, managing the works on site meanwhile specialist sub-contractors completed specialist trades.
